Never Never Land

by Henry Lowther's Quarternity

Paco Despite the classically British understatement with which the artist describes album as something "to somewhat fill in some of the many gaps that exist in the history of British jazz," this is a fantastic set of performances and anyone who hasn't heard them is missing out. Favorite track: Third World Song.

John Cratchley This album is very important, I think...there just isn’t enough material by Henry Lowther available for it not to be...wonderful playing throughout, totally accomplished as you would expect from musicians of this calibre...what a gem!! This is up there with the best jazz from the UK in that fruitful period of the mid-seventies to my old ears.

bergi57 Finally a double record for one of most wonderful British jazz player and a great person.
One of the several “never recorded” band of the Seventies in England…. Many are waiting the light of the day!

aswinmusiclistening There is something about about the way the strings and the winds talk to each other in this album that is attractive. The relaxed pace of many of the pieces also fits my taste. Favorite track: Chinese Wand.

about

I think the music on this album comes over as a perfect picture of those times from the 1970s onwards and it certainly goes to somewhat fill in some of the many gaps that exist in the history of British jazz.
